The Holidays are Coming! Gourmet Hot White Chocolate Mix

www.noreenskitchen.com Greetings! Today we continue our week’s worth of special drink mixes with this wonderful and decadent White Hot Chocolate Mix. This is so simple to make and even easier to drink! Just mix up some dry milk powder, creamer, vanilla powder, orange peel, sugar and the magic ingredient, Vanilla instant pudding and you are going to have the most amazing hot drink you have ever tasted. This is also a nice gift for the people on your list who don’t really take a shine to regular chocolate. I am one of those people. I much prefer white chocolate over the milk or dark. Grating the white chocolate bar makes it easier to work with and makes it distribute throughout the mix much easier. Additionally, running it through the food processor is the best way to make a fine powder much like what you would get in a commercial mix. But this is 100 percent better because it is homemade! I hope you give this a try and I hope you love it. Keep watching for even more gift ideas in the coming days! As always, Happy Gifting! Merry Christmas! HMMM, I wonder what it would taste like with “cheesecake” flavored pudding mix?
Or maybe add some cherry jello to have cherry cheesecake drink mix?
    OR…………….. ;)

SO YUMMY! I’m going to run out tomorrow to pick up some of that white chocolate and make some just for us! Lol – did you know Kitchen Aid did their 13 quart food processor at the end of your vid? Too funny since you mentioned it.

You can hover your mouse over the title of the video to see the full title. I know, it’s way annoying. Darn Youtube. But here is the video: (type youtube url) and paste /watch?v=fTPV7XhI1pY

    Hi Noreen,

Thought I saw mention of a Hot Chocolate with cherry? Since the revamping of YT I can only see a couple words in the title of your recipes and can’t find this one. Would you be kind enough to give me the link to it if it does indeed exist. Thanks so much. Having tons of fun watching your videos and look forward to making many of them.

    That looks Yummy! So clever!

Renee: There is really no “need” to use the food processor, I just like to make the finest powder I can. you can easily make these by whisking the ingredients together in a bowl. As for the butterscotch chips, I would just use my pastry blender or simply put them in a ziplock and whack them with the rolling pin. Grate the chocolate bars and you’ll be good to go. Nothing wrong with woman power!

Noreen, I sooo want to try some of these drink mixes you have created — you clever, clever girl!! — but I don’t have a food processer (nor blender). I’m trying to think of how I might get around that . . . . Or maybe I’ll just have to get myself one of those contraptions. Hey, I’ll be making your biscotti (again) this year as presents for teachers, etc. I LOVE that recipe!

Oh Noreen…you never cease to amaze me!! I am IN LOVE with that tag!! I too am an avid crafter/scrapbooker/cricut-a-holic…would you be willing to share the website where you got that amazing clip-art?? I will be making a vid soon of my craft room…I just KNEW you were a kindred spirit!! hehehe You should think about having a channel of your crafting (ya know, with all that free time you have..HA) Keep it coming, you’ve got my creative juices flowing now!! Cheers!

When are you going to upload the Vanilla Bean Giveaway? Just out of curiosity.

  • atticus9799

Ha! I try to get stuff like that out of the shot. Oh well. It’s not Sonic : ( Its McD’s We like to go get “big drinks” cause the large is always $1.00. I always get unsweet tea. But when I go to sonic I love to get the strawberry limeade slushy with extra strawberries! : )

  • blairseybell

What’s in the Sonic cup? And, did you buy it during happy hour? ;-)

  • tjbollman1

    Nice!

  • lgcsmallwood

Thank you for this great recipe. I would have to make it without the orange peel. My daughter is allergic to citrus. I will have to find some vanilla beans first.

I finally got my kitchenaid mixer, got the 4.5 quart one. I’m so excited. got it on sale during black friday!!! went back to Kohls on Monday and used my free money they were giving out to get the food grinder attachment!!! Now I’m drooling over the 12 cup kitchenaid food processor!!!! As soon as I can get some money together again…it will be ordered!!!

  • willkaren4ver

I saw your video on making bacon wrapped chicken breasts. I went home and made them for the hubby. I couldn’t find my sage so I used rosemary and some paprika on the chicken breasts and wrapped each in bacon. They were so good, hubby wants them again!!!! So thanks and keep up the great work!!!

    Hi Noreen,
I love the Holiday intro too.
I was wondering if you have a recipe for a low-fat or fat-free hot chocolate mix that tastes good?
I’m still loving your videos even though I’m vegetarian and gluten free. My husband and step son are not so I like to learn from you. I’m going to make your pecan pie for hubby. He LOVES that pie.
I love how creative you are and the energy and interests you have are AWESOME. I watch every video you put out. Thanks for being part of our lives-Mary
