Submit An Article

Do you write about some facet of social media?  Are you interested in submitting a completely unique, informative article?

What You Get If We Publish Your Article

Link Option: If you have a website or blog that is related to social media, you may include a link to a suitable page.  We will treat that link as a “do follow” link (i.e., it will pass PR).  Your anchor text may be contextual (within the article) or as part of an author’s resource box.  (Note: The link must lead to a page dealing with social media in some way.)

Payment Option: If we publish your article and the article does not contain a “self-serving” link, we shall pay you $5.00 (US) via PayPal upon publication.

Most Likely Topics

We publish articles dealing with each of the areas listed below.  You may determine the keywords (tags) that you deem appropriate.  We are primarily interested in articles that deal with the intersection of social media and business, although we also welcome submissions that are not business related.  This is not an all-inclusive list, as other topics may be of interest to our readers.

  • social media
  • social networking
  • social bookmarking
  • Facebook
  • MySpace
  • Twitter
  • Squidoo

Submission Guidelines

Article length: approximately 350-600 words

Tags: include comma separated keywords

Language: We publish only in English with either British or North American spelling.

Unique: Your article must be unique content.  By submitting, you agree that the content will never be submitted to another source and that it has not previously been published on the Internet.  You also attest that you have full rights to the article that you transfer to us.  (If we choose to publish your article, you will be notified within one week.  We shall include the URL in that notification.  If you do not hear from us within one week of submission, the article is yours to submit elsewhere if you wish.)  We shall usually notify you when we decide whether to publish your submission.  Usually that process takes much less than a week.

Author: The author’s name must be your own or a pen name that you frequently use for business article marketing purposes.  You may submit an article without an author listed, in which case we shall credit the article to “a reader” or some similar entity.

Format: Place your complete article into a .txt file attached to an email to the address below.  Make sure that no word processing coding is embedded.  The file should include everything:  title, body, tags, author and html code of the link (if any).  The body of the email should include an indication by you that you have read this article carefully and accept the terms.  Indicate whether you are submitting under the link option or the payment option.  You may also include any special instructions or questions.

Your Email: You must send us the article from the email address which you want contacted upon publication.  If you anticipate payment, you must use the email address to which you want payment sent via Paypal.

Our Email: Make your submissions to gsport11 at the domain of yahoo.com.  The subject line should be socialmediajam submission.  Be sure to whitelist that email address so that you may receive our emails.  We shall only email you concerning your submission and not for any other purpose.

Before submitting, please re-read this article to be sure that your submission meets all expectations.

We look forward to receiving your valuable contributions to SocialMediaJam.com
