Maya 2011 Tutorial (Rendering Chrome)


This is a quick tutorial on how to make shiny Chrome in Maya 2011. Someone asked me on how to do it, so here it is. I recommend to use Photoshop and brighten the HRD Image, so you can have a brighter daylight result. Hope this help for you and those learning out there.

    No, actually the plane is to see the reflection of the air-jet. If you want shadows you would need to add a light and turn on Ray Trace Shadows.

    Dude Awesome Tutorial!! I’ve been searching up tons of tutorials on how to do a bunch of stuff which you just made easy to do in one tutorial :D nice work bro, is the plane just so you’ll have a shadow and ground for your plane?
