@vidgirl4444 “what else can you make on a round loom?” how much time you got? :D you can make hats, slouchy beanies, drawstring bags, tube scarves, flat scarves, socks, Christmas stockings… I’ve even successfully made a blanket on a round loom. I think you can make mittens too but I’ve never made them. Happy looming!!!

Confidentially, I never really count rows. I just keep knitting and every now and then I’ll fold up a section of the brim to see how it’ll look. When I like it, I fold it over. :) as for the crown, it’s pretty much the same thing but I use my own head as a model (for adult hats of course).

@eliot1601 actually yes it is. However, for a men’s hat you can make the brim a little bit thicker if you want. I go about 12 to 14 rows on the brim for a man’s hat but for a woman’s or older child’s hat 10 rows are fine. Really it’s just a matter of personal preference.

Is the pattern the same for an older child or adult (just with a different size loom?) – ex 10, fold, 15, end?

thank you for sharing. this is something I look forward to making since I got my first kit today, Mother’s Day!

Absolutely you can use this on a larger loom. I do that all the time. If the loom will just sit atop your head like a crown then it’s the right size for your adult hat. With thinner yarns you do need to use two/three strands to get the right thickness. Some looms have wider spaced pegs, those are for thicker yarns…you get a lacy effect if you use thinner yarns on them.

@natalieandrew124 to use yarn that isn’t a s thick hold 2-3 strands of the yarn together at the same time and wrap all three strands like they are one this will give you the thickness you want…..
