Twitter tools have become very common these days and so has Twitter Karma (http://dossy.org/twitter/karma) that is a beautiful application (free of cost) for managing your Twitter friends and followers. If you have ever tried scanning through pages of followers to find someone, you would know it’s a real pain and time-consuming process to sort through the Tweets from friends and followers. Twitter Karma actually shows you all this information all on one screen.
It is basically a Flash application that fetches your friends and followers from Twitter when you click the “Whack!” button, then presents it in a simple interface for you, letting you quickly paginate through them. By default, the list contains all your friends and followers and is sorted by last update, showing those who most recently updated first.
You can sort the list alphabetically either in ascending or descending by Twitter ID. You can filter the list in several ways: only friends or only followers, all friends or all followers, and mutual friends. The top of the screen shows you the total number of people “Following you” as well as how many are “Mutual Friends” where you are following each other. It also lists how many “Only Followers”, that is those who are following you but you are not following them.
This site is fantastic for people who want to automatically follow people who are following you. You can access this site and log in, you can easily see who you are following and who is following you. “They Follow You” is marked in RED; “You Follow Them” is marked in GREEN. It also offers check boxes per person so one is able to perform bulk follows/unfollows. You can choose to follow people by putting check marks on them and choosing “Bulk Follow” at the bottom of the page. As an alternative, you can even select “Check All” and then click “Bulk Follow” and you will automatically follow everyone who follows you. You can also Bulk UnFollow People those who are not following you in the same way.
This tool would come in very handy if you ever reach that 2000 Twitter Follower cap. And, since it’s almost effortless to sort your connections in reference to the most recent tweet activity, anyone who is not using Twitter apps regularly will drop to the bottom of the pile. This makes keeping up with friends and followers pretty simple, don’t you think?
